The visiting delegation from Presbyterian College included Dr. Anita Olson Gustafson, President of Presbyterian College, Mr. Charles Gustafson, and Dr. Roy B. Campbell, Director of the Center for Korean and East Asian Studies.
Representing Sungshin Women’s University were President Seong Keun Yi, Vice Dean of International and External Affairs Myong Hee Lee, Head of the Office of International Affairs and Services Kim Il, and staff members from the Office of International Affairs and Services.
The meeting was held as part of ongoing efforts to explore new opportunities for collaboration between the two institutions and to expand their academic partnership in meaningful and sustainable ways.
The visit began with a campus tour of Woonjung Campus, which included visits to the Costume Museum, Art Gallery, and the practice facilities of the Department of Beauty Industry. The tour provided an opportunity to introduce Sungshin Women’s University’s campus environment, academic resources, and distinctive educational strengths.
Following the tour, the two universities held a meeting to discuss potential areas of collaboration and future directions for academic exchange.

During the meeting, Sungshin Women’s University was introduced through an English-language presentation that provided an overview of the university’s academic strengths, international programs, and campus environment. The presentation helped offer the visiting delegation a broader understanding of the university and was met with strong interest throughout the discussion.

Both institutions then exchanged views on a range of possible areas for cooperation. In particular, Presbyterian College shared its interest in developing Korea-related academic programming and exploring collaboration with Sungshin Women’s University in that process. Special attention was given to the possibility of future cooperation in Korean language education, especially in connection with the Korean language courses offered by the International School of Korean Culture and Technology.
In addition, the two sides discussed the potential for broader academic cooperation in other fields, including the College of Engineering, as well as possibilities for expanding faculty exchange, student exchange, and academic collaboration between the two universities.
Through this visit, Sungshin Women’s University reaffirmed its commitment to expanding global partnerships and fostering practical international cooperation across a wide range of academic areas.
