On February 23, 2026, Sungshin Women’s University welcomed Ms. Karina Garcia Ruiz, Director of International Affairs at Sup’Biotech Paris, to discuss opportunities for expanding academic exchange and cooperation in the field of biotechnology.

The visit was organized as part of the university’s continued efforts to strengthen global partnerships and promote international collaboration in specialized academic fields. Through the meeting, both institutions explored ways to build a more active and sustainable partnership in biotechnology education and student exchange.

Representing Sungshin Women’s University were Assistant Professors Na Jung-hyun and Lee Jae-won from the Department of Bio & Life Engineering, along with staff members from the Office of International Affairs and Services.

During the discussion, the two institutions exchanged ideas on several areas of future cooperation. Key topics included a request to expand the student exchange, the introduction of summer short-term programs, and the sharing of curriculum information to explore possible connections between degree programs at both universities.

The meeting also provided an opportunity for both sides to discuss practical ways to enhance academic mobility and create broader opportunities for students interested in biotechnology and related fields.

Following the discussion, Ms. Ruiz participated in a campus tour at Unjeong Campus, which included visits to the College of Engineering laboratories and the Traditional Costume Museum. The tour offered a closer look at Sungshin Women’s University’s academic facilities and campus environment, while also highlighting the university’s interdisciplinary educational resources.

Sungshin Women’s University expects this visit to serve as a meaningful step toward expanding cooperation with Sup’Biotech Paris and further strengthening its international academic network in the field of biotechnology.
