Sungshin Women’s University Welcomes 2026 Fulbright American International Education Administrators Delegation

SEOUL, June 11, 2026 — Sungshin Women’s University (SSU) welcomed a delegation from the 2026 Fulbright American International Education Administrators (AIEA) Program to its Woonjeong Campus on June 11 for a special visit focused on K-beauty, summer school opportunities, and future academic exchange.

The Fulbright AIEA Program, operated by the Korean-American Educational Commission, brings U.S. higher education professionals to Korea to gain a deeper understanding of the country’s education system, culture, and international exchange environment. The delegation visited Sungshin Women’s University under the themes of “success factors behind Korea’s K-beauty trends” and the University’s 2027 Summer School Program.

The visiting delegation included two representatives from the Korean-American Educational Commission, Associate Dean of the Graduate School at the University of Maryland, Director of the Global Center at the College of Staten Island, as well as faculty and administrators from the University of Illinois Chicago, Northeastern University, the University of Virginia, and other U.S. institutions. From Sungshin Women’s University, three staff members from the Office of International Affairs and Services participated in the program.

The visit began with presentations introducing the key success factors behind K-beauty and Sungshin Women’s University’s plans for its 2027 Summer School Program. The delegation then took part in a makeup demonstration led by Professor Kim Yoo-seung of the Division of International Studies, which included a personal color consultation and a K-beauty makeup demonstration.

The program continued with a campus tour of Woonjeong Campus, including visits to classrooms and practice rooms used by the Department of Beauty Industry, as well as the Art Gallery and the Sungshin Women’s University Costume Museum. Through these visits, the delegation was introduced to SSU’s educational facilities, practice-based learning environment, and cultural resources related to beauty, art, and design.

Following the program, participants engaged in networking and further discussions on possible cooperation related to future summer school programs, exchange student opportunities, and short-term study programs between Sungshin Women’s University and U.S. institutions.

Through this visit, Sungshin Women’s University reaffirmed its commitment to expanding global academic networks and developing international programs that connect Korean culture, K-beauty, and higher education with students and educators around the world.
