Sungshin Women’s University Welcomes Delegation from the University of Ostrava to Discuss International Exchange Opportunities

SEOUL, May 21, 2026 — Sungshin Women’s University (SSU) welcomed representatives from the University of Ostrava in the Czech Republic to its Woonjeong Campus on May 21 to introduce the University and discuss opportunities for future academic and student exchange.

The visiting delegation included Marek Suchanek, coordinator for exchange students from non-EU countries at the University of Ostrava’s Center for International Cooperation, and Tereza Kotzuravoa, marketing officer in the International Team. From Sungshin Women’s University, two staff members from the Office of International Affairs and Services participated in the meeting.

The visit began with a campus tour of Woonjeong Campus, during which the delegation was introduced to Sungshin Women’s University’s educational facilities and campus environment. Following the tour, both sides held a meeting to exchange information on student mobility programs and to explore potential areas of cooperation.

During the discussion, Sungshin Women’s University and the University of Ostrava shared updates on their respective exchange student programs and summer school initiatives. Sungshin Women’s University introduced its summer school program scheduled for 2026, while the University of Ostrava also shared its plan to operate a summer school program. The two institutions also exchanged information on international student support programs and discussed ways to provide more diverse academic and cultural opportunities for students.

The meeting concluded with a luncheon, providing an opportunity for further dialogue in a collegial setting. Through this visit, Sungshin Women’s University and the University of Ostrava reaffirmed their mutual interest in expanding international engagement and strengthening future cooperation in student exchange and global education programs.
