On March 25, 2026, Dr. Paul Edmunds, Director of the Center for English Language and American Culture (CELAC) at the University of New Mexico (UNM), visited Sungshin Women’s University to introduce study abroad opportunities and to discuss potential avenues for student participation in seasonal academic programs.

The meeting took place near Soojung Campus and was attended by representatives from Sungshin Women’s University, including officials from the International Affairs and Services Team.

During the meeting, both sides exchanged information regarding international programs focused on opportunities designed to provide students with meaningful overseas academic and cultural experiences to support students’ academic and intercultural development.

In addition, Dr. Edmunds introduced programs for additional international learning opportunities outside the regular exchange student framework. Through this discussion, the two institutions explored ways to broaden access to global learning experiences and encourage wider student participation in overseas study programs.

Furthermore, the meeting served as an opportunity to share institutional perspectives on international education and to identify practical ways to strengthen student engagement in international study abroad programs.

This visit provided a valuable occasion to enhance mutual understanding and to reaffirm the importance of diverse international learning pathways for students.
