Wang Yijie, an undergraduate student majoring in Fashion Design under the Korea–China Joint Program at the Department of Fashion Industry, Sungshin Women’s University, made a remarkable appearance as an officially invited designer at the “Golden Age” fashion show during London Fashion Week on the 22nd of last month — a rare achievement for an undergraduate student.

Wang, who is pursuing a dual degree at Sungshin Women’s University and Hebei University of Science and Technology (河北科技大学), is a 2022 student of the joint program in fashion design. This milestone marks the first time that a student nurtured through the educational collaboration between the two universities has demonstrated creativity and professionalism on a global fashion stage. It stands as a significant achievement showcasing Sungshin Women’s University’s international educational capacity and global competitiveness in fashion education.

The “Golden Age” fashion show at London Fashion Week, themed “Ethereal Balance of Ages,” presented experimental works that transcended the boundaries between tradition and modernity, art and practicality. Wang’s menswear designs were praised by fashion experts in London for their sophisticated use of materials and architectural silhouettes. Through this global platform, Wang also launched his own brand, HUBING SELECTS: Equal Ethereal, marking his debut as a professional fashion designer.
