Department of Vocal Music of Sungshin Women's University focuses its education on equipped students with the skills and abilities that fit the new era by systematizing its curriculum with theory and practice. Thus, the program educates students through their participation in various concerts, operas, and choruses, so that they will also serve the community as professional vocalists, chorus members, or music teachers.
Educational Goals of Departments
The department applies itself to fostering professionals fit for the 21st century with one-on-one lesson, the practice courses of Vocal Literature, Class Piano, Diction, Vocal Technique, Composition Theory, Music History, and Teaching Method, and new ideas such as various liberal arts courses.
- It also works to train diverse-ranging professionals for the current era through spring and fall concerts with auditions, Hyangran Concert (for each grade-year), master class, lectures, concert choir, and opera.
