Recruitment for the 21st Friends of Korea Program
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism is recruiting participants for the 21st Friends of Korea Program, a volunteer initiative that promotes accurate information about Korea and helps identify and report misinformation related to Korea found in overseas media and online platforms.
Students who are interested in Korean culture, history, and international communication are encouraged to apply.
📌 Program Information
Application Period: June 1, 2026 (Mon), 9:00 AM – June 30, 2026 (Tue), 5:00 PM
Number of Participants: Approximately 40
Announcement of Successful Applicants: July 15, 2026 (Wed)
Activity Period: July 15 – December 31, 2026 (Approximately 5.5 months)
📌 Eligibility
Korean nationals and foreign nationals aged 18 or older residing in Korea or abroad
International applicants must possess sufficient Korean language proficiency to perform program activities
Individuals with an interest in Korean culture, history, and Korea-related issues
Applicants who can utilize their language skills to research Korea-related information, report inaccuracies, and participate in promotional activities

① Monitoring & Reporting Activities
Report inaccurate information about Korea found in overseas media and online platforms
Analyze the distribution of Korea-related information
② Promotional Activities
Promote the Facts About Korea service to both Koreans and international audiences
Participate in online and offline outreach activities
