Sungshin Women’s University Held a “K-Beauty and Makeup Special Lecture” at Qiaosi Vocational High School (杭州市乔司职业高级中学) in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province on October 30.

The lecture was conducted on-site by professors from the Department of Beauty Industry at Sungshin Women’s University. Approximately 80 students from the school’s “Sungshin Beauty Study Abroad Class (诚信女子大学留学班)” participated, gaining firsthand experience in Korean-style beauty education and global beauty trends.

Under the theme “K-Beauty, Beyond Trend – Korean Beauty Enhanced by Global Sensibility,” the program featured Professor Joo-Deok Kim (Cosmetics Major), who lectured on the development of the K-beauty industry, and Professors Jisoo Han and Kyeong Lee (Makeup Major), who provided instruction on the latest makeup trends and practical K-makeup techniques.
Designed as an integrated class combining theory and hands-on practice, the program allowed students to cultivate both technical expertise and aesthetic sensibility through live demonstrations and individualized feedback.

Sungshin Women’s University dispatches faculty members each semester to provide practice-oriented Korean beauty education on site. Through this special lecture, the university not only delivered the expertise and educational influence of its Department of Beauty Industry directly to local students but also demonstrated K-beauty’s growth into an international educational platform that connects technology, culture, arts, and industry.

President Seong-Keun Yi of Sungshin Women’s University stated,
“Sungshin Women’s University is leading the globalization of K-beauty education and is committed to fostering globally minded, interdisciplinary talents who will shape the future of the beauty industry. Our collaboration with Qiaosi Vocational High School serves as an important milestone in promoting the excellence of Korean beauty education on the global stage.”

He added,

“We plan to further expand cooperation through continued faculty dispatch, international seminars, and joint research, strengthening global networks across the beauty, fashion, and cultural industries, and advancing as a university at the forefront of international collaboration and the global spread of Korean beauty education.”
