Avoid Crowded Areas on April 4 

Due to Constitutional Court Ruling

Dear International Students,

We would like to inform you of an important domestic event that may affect public safety in central Seoul on Thursday, April 4.

The Constitutional Court of Korea will announce its final decision regarding the impeachment trial of the current President on April 4 at 11:00 AM. This is a significant political event, and large-scale gatherings, protests, or demonstrations are expected, especially near Gwanghwamun, City Hall, and central Seoul areas.

For your safety, we strongly advise all international students to avoid:

• Gwanghwamun area

• City Hall and nearby government buildings

• Any areas where protests or large crowds are gathered

There may be unexpected traffic, subway congestion, or limited access to some public areas. Please plan your day accordingly and stay informed via the news or official announcements.

This is a precautionary measure to ensure your well-being. If you have any concerns or need assistance, please do not hesitate to contact the International Affairs and Services Team.

4월 4일(목), 국내에서 매우 중요한 정치적 사건인 대통령 탄핵심판 선고가 예정되어 있어, 서울 시내 일부 지역에 혼잡 및 시위가 발생할 가능성이 있습니다.

헌법재판소는 4월 4일 오전 11시에 대통령 탄핵 여부에 대한 결정을 발표할 예정이며, 이와 관련해 광화문, 시청, 그 외 서울 중심부에서 대규모 시위나 집회가 발생할 수 있습니다.

이에 따라 유학생 여러분께서는 다음 지역 방문을 자제해 주시기 바랍니다:

• 광화문 일대

• 시청 및 정부청사 주변

• 시위나 군중이 모인 장소 전반

해당일에는 교통 혼잡, 지하철 지연, 특정 지역 통제 등이 발생할 수 있으니 외출 시 주의해 주시기 바랍니다.
